Join Vietnam veteran Greg Carter, as he shares his powerful collection of photographs and personal stories, offering an insight into the living conditions, daily realities and human experiences of life during the war. A sausage sizzle will follow the talk.

On Sunday 22 March, we’ll once again be hosting the grand finale of Soldier On’s March On event at the Henley & Grange RSL.

All members are invited to meet at the RSL at 9:00 am and take part in a community walk from the Henley & Grange RSL to the Grange Jetty and back. After the walk, Soldier On will be hosting a free BBQ lunch for everyone to enjoy.

This event will be held in the carpark and courtyard area of the club.  We encourage everyone to attend and following the walk, can attend Vietnam veteran Greg Carter's presentation inside the club rooms.

As an accomplished guitarist and inspiring singer Dominic covers many styles of music including; pop, rock, blues, country, jazz, soul and reggae. A brilliant song writer, Dominic has recorded his own music as well as performed with such artists as; Suzi Quatro, Wendy Mathews, Neil Sedaka, Glenn Shorrock, Phil Emmanuel, Russell Morris, Ross Wilson and Daryl Braithwaite to name a few.

Graham has been performing on Choose Your Cruise’s Music Themed Cruises - Rock The Boat, Cruisin’ Country, Cruise & Groove and Flashback for over 12 years and is now ready to perform at the Henley and Grange RSL.

To commemorate the 110th anniversary since Gallipoli, Grange SLSC juniors will land by boat before joining the catafalque party, veterans, and Henley SLSC in marching up to the Soldiers' Memorial.

First-Aid provided by the Henley Surf Life Saving Club.
Breakfast donated by Henley Square Foodland and Crestcut Butchers. Cooked by RSL volunteers and Henley Rotary Club, and served by Bendigo Community Bank West Beach. Rum and coffee station sponsored by local hotels.

There will be two large marquees setup in the RSL carpark all day.
Local children’s ANZAC Day artwork will be on display in the community centre.

Times:
6:00am Grange SLSC juniors land on the beach.

6:30am Service commences - Veterans follow catafalque party and march to the soldiers memorial from the esplanade, joined by surf life savers from Henley and Grange.

7:30am - Breakfast will be served for a gold coin donation, the bar, and rum and coffee station will open.

8:30am – Ben Ford-Davies will play inside the club

9:00am – Two Up game begins

6pm - Close

No parking in the RSL Carpark.

Seaview Road will be closed from Henley Square to Marlborough Street.

North Street will be closed from Military Road to Seaview Road.

Henley & Grange RSL is proud to support the "March On" community initiative, run by the non-profit organisation Soldier On. Throughout the month of March, community members have taken on the challenge of walking the 96 km distance of the Kokoda Track, while raising funds along the way. Every dollar raised goes directly toward funding Soldier On's mental health programs and services, which aim to prevent veteran suicide and save lives.

We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the completion of this challenge and showing support for this important cause.

Don't Tell Joe are Tarrin McAskill on vocals and rhythm guitar, Junior Sugarfingers Linton on lead guitar, Jack Crawford on bass, Simon Timoshanko on drums and Snoady on harmonica for the sprinkles on the cupcake.”

Ben returns to our sub-branch for a fun afternoon of acoustic hits! Our Christmas raffle will be drawn on the day.

We invite you to join us for our Remembrance Day Service. This year the service will be held inside the clubrooms starting at 10.30am.

A shared light lunch will be available following the ceremony.
